UPGRADING OF NELSON MANDELA BOULEVARD IN THEMBALETHU
Tenders are hereby invited for:
CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS PERTAINING TO THE UPGRADING OF NELSON MANDELA BOULEVARD IN THEMBALETHU, GEORGE
Completed tenders in a sealed envelope, clearly marked:
Tender No. T/ING/006/2017 must be placed in the tender box at the George Municipality on the First Floor, Directorate: Financial Services, Supply Chain Management, Civic Centre, York Street, George by no later than 12:00 on Tuesday 16 May 2017. Tenders are not allowed to be placed in the tender box after 12:00. Tenders will be opened on the same day in the Committee Room at 12:05. Late or unmarked tenders will not be considered. No posted tenders or tenders per fax or e-mail will be accepted.
Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB and it is estimated that tenderers should have a grading designation of 8CE or higher.
A compulsory briefing session will be held in the Banquet Hall, George Municipality, Civic Centre, 54 York Street, George at 11:00 on Tuesday, 02 May 2017. Non-attendance of the compulsory briefing session will disqualify your tender.
Tender documents are available at a non-refundable deposit of R350-00 each from the Supply Chain Management Unit, First Floor, Civic Centre, York Street, George. Tender documents must be pre-ordered from Rachel Botha at Rachel.email@example.com prior collection.

Tenders will be evaluated and adjudicated in terms of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (Act 5 of 2000) Regulations 2017 and the George Municipality’s Supply Chain Management Policy, where 80 points will be scored for price and 20 points for B-BBEE status.
Pre-qualification criteria for preferential procurement according to the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2017 apply and require the following:
The Municipality reserves the right to withdraw any invitation to tender and/or to re-advertise or to reject any tender or to accept a part of it. The Municipality is not bound to accept the lowest or any tender.
It will be required from the successful tenderer to register on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
