George Municipality Sport Council, from left Herman Janse van Rensburg (Additional Member), Cyprian Duthie (Chairperson), Josephine Arendse-Mpembe (Vice-Chairperson) and John Bruiners (Secretary) is getting ready with the different sporting officials for the Better Together sports event. George Municipality will participate at the Better Together regional sports event hosted at the Van Riebeeck stadium, Mossel Bay on 22 September.  George will compete in sport codes cricket, domino’s, golf, relay and athletics, netball, soccer, rugby, tug of war and pool. Everyone takes part in the Fun Walk/Run. Different provincial departments and municipalities including Eden District Municipalities will attend the annual event. The George cricket team did very well in last year’s event and went through to take part at the Corporate Games where all districts in the Western Cape compete against each other.
