George Municipality creates awareness around Water Week

Ms Grace Notshokovu, Project Coordinator: Greenest Municipality Competition and Abongile Nontshikiza, Environmental Health Practitioner at George Municipality created awareness around Water Week by putting out information pamphlets at the different Area Offices in George.  Some of the pamphlets give the community tips on water saving as well as why illegal dumping is not good for the environment. Notshokovu said the litter unfortunately lands in dams and rivers, which are our drinking water resources. The public are requested to report illegal dumping to George Municipality Environmental. Water Week are celebrated from 17 to 23 March.

Here the officials are at Blanco Area Offices from left, MonchescaWilleman, Assistant at Blanco Area Office, Grace Notshokovu an d Abongile Nontshikiza.
