George Libraries donated books to reading club

Senior Librarian for, James de Waal recently donated 35 books to the Masilakhe Reading Club on behalf of George Library. Olwethu Sotshantsha, who received the books here, is a volunteer at Inkcubeko Science and Youth Centre in Thembalethu. She started the Reading Club called Masilakhe Reading Club, for Grade one to six learners. Their ages range from seven to 12 years old. Although they are all from Zone 6 (Ramaphosa),Thembalethu, all other children are welcome.  Masilakhe means: Let's Build / Let's Develop. The reading club at present consists of learners from Thembalethu Primary School, as well as MM Mateza and Tyholora Primary Schools.  Sotshantsha can be reached on 071 084 3892.
