Overview

Situated in the Garden Route district of the Western Cape province of South Africa, the George Municipality is the third largest municipality, in terms of population, in the Western Cape.
The municipality serves 212 120 people from 62 722 households (Statistics SA 2017) across 27 wards including the coastal areas of Kleinkrantz,Wilderness, Victoria Bay, Herolds Bay and Gwaing as well as the rural areas of Herold, Waboomskraal, Uniondale and Haarlem.
